The arts have always been my escape from regular life.  As a child, my favorite thing was to color and draw.  I even created my own comic strip about my beloved basset hound.  I had my sights set on becoming an artist of some type.  As I grew up, I took every art class I could including drawing, painting, and photography.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University.  I continued my education by graduating with a Master of Science degree in Education Media Design and Technology.

I was born in Logan, Utah.  My parents lived in Utah until I was three.  We moved quite often and I’ve lived in several different locations in Arizona, California, and Florida. While in Florida, I got involved with the art scene and displayed artwork at the Orlando Museum of Art, City Arts Factory, and Sanford Historic Welcome Center. I returned to Utah five years ago to live near family.  I currently live in Bountiful, Utah with my husband, two daughters, and three cats.

Sometimes I wish I could live in my art because it’s where I feel most at home.  Pablo Picasso said, “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”  This statement resonates with my feelings about why I make art.  It soothes my soul and restores my equilibrium in life.
